➖ Education Department & OKRs:
== The Board is refining the structure, roles, and objectives for the Education Department. A guidance document is being finalized to outline decision-making authority, and the Curriculum Coordinator’s role will expand to report directly to the Director of Education. A review of youth programs and partnerships is also in progress.

➖ Bitcoin Diploma & Curriculum Development:
== The 2025 Bitcoin Diploma has been published in 11 languages. The Intro Course now includes a Teacher’s Guide and versions for Blink and Wallet of Satoshi. The Bitcoin for Business program is 85% complete, with 29 modules submitted for design. Online school registrations have grown to 1,654 users across five dedicated node classrooms.

➖ Technology & Security Enhancements:
== MPB has established a new Tech Department, hiring a Lead Web Engineer, Lead Bitcoin Engineer, Graphic Designer, Video Editor, and Community Builder. Weekly check-ins for new hires are in place. AlbyHub is being integrated for financial management, and Nostr tools (Keycast, Xtonostr) are being explored.

➖ Financial Transparency & Compliance:
== A Version 1 financial dashboard has been completed. MPB has established a multisig wallet for fund security and is evaluating secure remote signing solutions to enhance financial oversight. The Board will review expense categorization to improve transparency.

➖ Organizational Tone & Strategy:
== MPB remains neutral on political and financial matters while ensuring professional and factual communication. Individual members may express personal opinions, but the organization will maintain a nonpartisan stance.

➖ Teacher Onboarding and Training Program:
== Planning is underway to establish a structured teacher hiring, onboarding, training, and certification program. The Director of Education held the first meeting with a candidate to start in a Teacher Trainer role to discuss strategies, options, and an ideal process for hiring new teacher candidates and to lead the program.

➖ New Collaboration Opportunities:
== 2 different private schools in Colombia are interested in using MPB materials, potentially co-developing a curriculum, and training their teachers. This marks a significant step toward international partnerships. We continue with the partnership program with the organization in Costa Rica.

➖ Transparency and Reporting:
== The Director of Finance in Administration is working on an annual financial transparency report to share with the community in Q1 2025. This report will highlight MPB's financial activities and enhance trust with the community, and donors.

➖ Bitcoin Diploma 2025
==The team is finalizing the Bitcoin Diploma 2025 according to the planned timeline, the additions to the activities guide, and the translations to Spanish, ready to be uploaded on Jan 2025.

➖ Board of Directors Planning:
== Preparations are underway for the December 16th Organization’s Assembly, where the focus will be on restructuring the board of directors.
This includes removing inactive members, adding new candidates, and finalizing plans for the January elections to shape MPB's leadership for 2025.

➖ Teacher Onboarding and Training Program:

== New Introductory Bitcoin course ready to launch.
== We continue our Department of Education rebuild with the new Director of Education: Working on building the tools, processes, trackers, SOPs, and everything necessary to scale our educational impact in 2025.
== Youth Workbook development of the project with Little Hodler and MINED for 2nd and 3rd grade has been completed from the MPB’s side for content, chapter summary, and activities. Is now pending design from Little Hodler’s team.
➖Communications Department:
== Update from LNN: We are about to surpass 50 nodes in the Light Node Network.
== We launched the Discourse platform, onboarded Full Nodes, and began governance.
== Organizing the Unconference in November 2024.
➖Savings mechanism
== At the end of Q4, we will put aside a two-month runway for operations and put everything else into a Savings Account. Before the end of Q4 we will create a Savings Goal for Q1. If we do not meet the Savings Goal then, the following Quarter will have a 'light restricted' budget. If we do not meet the Savings Goal AND have to take out of Savings in order to maintain the 2-month runway then the following Quarter will have a 'heavy restricted' budget. We will repeat this exercise at the end of each quarter, looking ahead to the next quarter throughout 2025: set a Savings Goal and define the consequences of not accomplishing that goal at the end of each quarter.

➖The board unanimously voted to change Quentin’s title in his new role from COO to General Manager Quentin's as this reflects more our spirit of an organization for a change of the old world, and that includes avoiding “too corporate” titles.
➖ Organizational Chart Update: Roberto Magaña is now the Director of Finance and Administration. Future board design discussions are ongoing.
➖A press release announcing Reyna and Quentin's promotions was reviewed and the date was established to be issued on September 16th.

➖Funding Updates
== While there have been delays in receiving pledged funds, efforts are being made to secure a bridge for ongoing operations until full funding is received as expected in December 2024.
➖ Succession Plan
== The board reviewed Adam’s recommended successor. A training plan and timeline have been drafted, with more details to follow in the next meeting.
➖ Leadership Restructure
== The board discussed future leadership restructuring to streamline responsibilities and align more closely with the organization's mission and vision.

➖ The Board of Directors and Department heads held an in-person meeting to discuss various topics, plus planning for the 2nd part of the year.
➖ We discussed strategy. Where are we going? What’s the future of this movement?
== Grassroots Fundraising.
== Celebrating the MPB birthday (Aug 9).
== Solidifying our values and what needs to be done to preserve them.
➖ A new vision/update for the monthly meet-ups was discussed and approved.
➖ Adopting Bitcoin Speakers from the team and how to support each other in our presentations.

➖ This was the first meeting with the 2 new board members: Jonathan Y. and Jamie R.
➖ In this meeting was discussed timeline to start working on the Bitcoin Diploma 2025 version: Main responsible team, deadlines, feedback and deliverable date and languages.
➖ The COO will choose a project lead for the BD 2025 version by June 17th, the project lead to begin working immediately. The 2025 Bitcoin diploma text is locked in on Oct 15th, 2024 with a release date of English and Spanish on Jan 1st, 2025.
➖ The project lead reports on the monthly board meetings.
➖ The proposal was approved unanimously by all members of the board.
➖ A new version of the intro class will be worked on and we’ll ask the collaboration of the LN Network educators to complete it.
➖ Fundraising and saving for the future:
== 10% of the current funds that we have for the next 18 months 10% of the first 35k, and for the amount above 35k it will be 50% per calendar month.
== Funds from these savings can be used, and it will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will be approved by the super majority of the board: 4 out 5 votes.
➖ This was unanimously approved by all members of the board.

➖ The VP of the board stepped down from his position end of April.
➖ The remaining members sat down and met up to review new board candidates, core values, and reasoning for the future members.

➖ This month the board reviewed reports and OKRs implementations from the General Operations Manager and discussed the next steps on how to go towards scaling the mission.

➖ Announcement of the new project proposal for the creation of 2 workbooks for children with Little Hodler and Ministery of Education of El Salvador.
